Thirsty work...
... this rutting. A Fallow Buck having a well earned drink after a prolonged roaring session. This is a wild deer photographed today on Cannock Chase.

Paul, I don't think I can remember ever having seen an image of a deer drinking, so well done for capturing something different. When I first saw it, it put me in mind of the images of zebra at a river in Africa. Not quite certain about the crop though. I think this would work equally well as portrait or landscape but the 'nearly square' doesn't quite cut it for me. Is this from a horizontal shot or vertical?

Forgot to mention the crop. It was shot vertically and I've cropped a bit off the bottom. Crop ratios are a personal thing (I dislike 3:2). I do have a shot taken horizontally as well but he's not as side on in that one.
