Low energy lighting experiment.
With the imminent ending of British Summer Time for 2008 next week and the return to dark evenings, and with the conservation of energy use in mind, I thought I would experiment with a low energy warm white 3000 - 3300k LED lighting set up I've cobbled together (4 x 2.5W 85 - 260V AC LED bulbs); assisted by aluminium foil, supermarket plastic bags and a windup LED hand held torch. Using this anthurium this is my first image.

Sigma SD14
Sigma EX 50mm macro lens
Three images stacked
combined with Helicon Focus

This is certainly a novel idea David ! Could have all sorts of uses. I think it may have worked better with a subject or plant with a less number of leaves or stalks.
Good stuff tho'

Thanks for the comments John. I deliberately chose such a subject to see what would be the outcome. Here is my set up minus me and the LED torch.

Oh my, what a set-up  I echo John's comment about working better if it was a single subject, which will allow better control.
