Hi all,
I thought some of you might be interested in this.
We at Digital Camera magazine run a Photographer of the Year competition. It's completely free to enter and is open to everyone from around the world. There is a main prize of £15,000 up for grab, what are you waiting for?
I'd hurry though, the deadline is 5pm GMT 31st October.
"By entering your images into the competition, you grant ... a worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable licence throughout the world in perpetuity in all media to reproduce any of the images for any purposes in connection with the competition...."
Hmmm... that line alone is scary and would prevent me from ever entering anything in your competition - Darwin

...in connection with the competition....
Doesn't that part make it much better than most competitions? Or am I reading that wrong? The way I read that, they can only use your images to promote the competition, not for other uses, and they wouldn't actually own the image in terms of re-selling or re-licensing it to someone else. Right?
