I didn't get to go to Colorado at the peak color this year but I did have to take my daughter out there recently. I only had time for one morning of shooting so I went to a well known spot, Bear and Sprague lake in RMNP.

Thanks for looking and comments appreciated.

Well, It certainly appears that you made the most of your limited opportunity. I like the comment "HAVE to take my daughter" Peak or not, I doubt your arm had to be twisted that much. I love both shots. The light on the first one is magical. Well done!

I NEVER seem to get great cloud color in my early morning attempts in RMNP! I'm jealous of your trip there and the results of your short time shooting. One thing is for sure, you were shooting on a typical cold and windy morning at Bear Lake! Great shots both! :toast:

Thanks for the comments. Dominic your right I should of worded it "get to"...

I had time to finish another pano today. This one is more of my style, it's another image from Bear Lake.

That's some great work Gale. While all three are nice, the last one is really outstanding. Love the color in the clouds, nice detail in the foreground rocks, and the snow adds a little icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing! :toast:

Wow Gale ... number three is outstanding! Looks much more like a painting than a photograph! Can't wait to meet you on saturday and pick your brain on the amazing panos you produce!

See you then. :wavey:

Gale, glad you were able to sneak out one day. I like them all but I agree with Wayne, the last one is your best.

Well-chosen subjects for the panorama treatment, great execution on spectacular scenes.

Gale, they are all great, but the last one is AWESOME! The lighting and clouds are superb.

The juxtaposition of colorful sky and B&W look of the land and water is very interesting in both bear lake images.
