Got this shot from a few weeks ago. This stag was in control of around 20 hinds, and was trying to get one back which had ventured across the stream. Light was rubbish so I left things as they were and tried for some panning.

I like it, especially the raised head and partially open mouth. A really good bit of movement captured in the legs too. :toast:

makes me feel i'm there. There really is a certain raw nature feeling about the image.

Not the sharpest picture I have seen on this forum, but the sense of movement and power more than compensates for that. Great action shot.

Nice action shot Tim, whats the splashy water bit down in the bottom left?

Thanks guys,

Colin: That was the hind which had ventured across the river, he was trying to chase her back with the rest of the herd! One of those moments when I wished I was shooting at 300, as i'd have liked to have gotten both in!
