Just got back from a great trip to the UK. Danny was my host for a few days and must say again..... he is great to work with. Very inspiring and patiently. Thanks again Danny. I also talked to some other guys that I know of this forum. It's nice to finally get a face to the name.
This seal had my full attention and I loved spending time with him or her.

Nice one Edwin.
Is this the same animal Guy posted ? Nose marks look very similar.

A very pleasing image of this young common seal. I think by stopping down to about F8-F11 you might have got a little more sharpness in the flipper, back of head an neck areas, but that little bit of softness also adds to the 'cute' factor of this one.. ( can't believe I said that..!) Anyway, nice shot..
I'm tempted to say 'It's just another seal shot, so what?' but on reflection and a closer look, I think you have captured something of the character and '? sole' of this individual. Photographing a well documented species is never easy, but here you have created a very strong portrait with a certain something extra.
I'd be interested to see it produced as a b&w image using a high(ish) contrast.
Good work, cheers,
Chris

Looks even better than it did on the back of the camera Ed - plenty of character in there.

Thank you all for your comments. John: I think this is the same seal Guy posted. He was one of the many kind photographers I've met on my trip.
Thanks,

Hello Ed
I love my pictures of this little cutey in all the years of going to this location I have never seen a common seal this close to photograph so we were very lucky to find this Guy.
