Here's a shot from this morning of Longs Peak. The night before it had rained and then snowed resulting in a nice thick layer of ice covered by snow. On my hike this morning I managed to fall at least once every other mile. (I posted this from my laptop so it may not be quite right. Please let me know.)

Beautiful! A small glow of orange in all the blue cold: gotta love it.

I love the hint of glow off the Diamond, Erik. Neat shot!

Love it Erik, the mountain I grew up at the foot of, never looked better. One of these days, I'll try to get back there and get a killer shot on the Keyboard of the winds.
Thanks for sharing that great shot

This is great, Erik. I love the contrast of colors. BTW, Neptune has quite a selection of mini crampons. Perfect for slippery hikes.

I like the blues accented by the forementioned warm light on Longs. Nice image.

Nice Erik as always! Nice bit of glow at the top to warm it up!

Nice! Love the blue and the bright clouds. What hike was this taken from?

You really get the feeling of cold and winter from this image, and I like that!. The light hitting the diamond is pretty magical as Todd said!.

The hint of color in a cold, white wintry landscape really separates this from lesser shots. Another winner.

Very nice, Erik. I totally agree with everyone about the colors. I also think this is a really strong comp. Excellent!

This one was worth falling down ever other mile or so.
Seriously, a very nice image. Sounds like it was a good morning.

Paul, I shot this image on my way to Black Lake, though I must admit this isn't the most direct route to get there. Here's a shot taken just below Black Lake rather late in the day.

yea, 'not the most direct route' is probably the understatement of the week - it looks like you are 800+ft above the trail.
I really like the second shot as well!! Looks like you are just below Black Lake..

Both shots are great Erik. It's nice to see the snow still looking good in the afternoon!!

I like the blues and the glowing Diamond, but the lit up clouds brings the image up a notch. Excellent capture Erik.

Both are great, as usual! I always love your vision!

Such a beautiful shot Erik. The second one is awesome as well. The perspecitve provided by the foreground ridge is a great touch as well.

Superb shot, Erik. The splash of warm light is great. Nice comp, too.
