I was up there early, so i might as well share a little. unfortunately i found a green outline that runs across the whole top of the mountain. What causes that? and is there an easy way to fix it? let me know if its hard to see, and ill post a link to a larger version

Sounds like chromatic abrasion is what you've run into. Doesn't surprise me with this scene (dark object against a bright background). If you use either PS or LR to process your image, both have tools for correcting CA in the raw converter (scroll the tool palate down almost to the bottom in the Develop module in LR, should be under a tab, probably Lens, in ACR in PS). If you're using Capture NX, one of the Nikonians will have to chime in.
Yup. Or if you're past the RAW processing stage, you can go to Filter->Distort->Lens Correction and then fiddle with the 'Fix Blue/Yellow Fringe' slider.
Looks like blue fringing, others have suggested the fix. Nice peaceful shot, so those were your tripod holes :)

Great photo. Wonderfully dramatic!
It looks as though you may have something on either your lens or on your shutter. Look at the top right, there are a few spots, that don't transpose to the lake reflection

Bryan- Thanks a lot!! Got it taken care of. Photoshop amazes me everyday.
Scott- Yeah i noticed that too. but what ever it was must have come off because the rest of the photos from the day didnt have it.
