Colorful tree at Devils Lake
Here is a fall color image from last year. Taken at Devils Lake SP in Wisconsin on a cloudless day. The first thought I had upon seeing this tree was that it was an Ent. All you Tolkien readers will get that.

Nice color and composition Darren. Did you get out shooting much this fall in Wisconsin?

None at all. My Wisconsin trips are usually the result of work travel. There just was not the opportunity this season. :frown:

Maybe next year.....

I've always enjoyed seeing the yellow leaves like this with a dark tree trunk. Nice composition, Darren...the image certainly has fall written all over it!

Nice shot. I was there yesterday and the great colors were gone.
