A very pleasing scene, Harold. I like how the bold red leaf dominates the muted fern colors and background.

What good fortune to have the perfect red leaf just sitting there on those ferns waiting for you to photograph it!

Harold,

Here's my take on a similar composition done on the plateau a couple of years ago. I had late evening sun and warm-colored sandstone cliffs providing the (mostly reflected) light. I will admit to hunting for and placing the leaf!
