In the spirit of the birthplace of the US... Grab your cameras and revolt!

Jim - I know the traffic was fairly low, but I was wondering why was the MANP removed? Isn't there a way to make this forum work instead of just removing it? Would there be anyone out there to take this region under his/her wing? Someone.... anyone?

Participation in regional group forums has always been a mixed bag. There are some that bustle with activity, some that don't exactly bustle but have regular postings, and some that don't see any new posts/comments for weeks or even months. The moderators do their best to keep it lively, but sometimes that doesn't even work.

Inactive forums don't do anyone much good - questions are left unanswered, photos not commented on. We would much prefer that these questions and photos be posted in forums where they will receive a response. After conferring with Sue and Walter (the MANP moderators), it was agreed that the time had come to pull the plug. We did the same with the LINP forum, which was just as inactive.

We suggest that those who live in the mid Atlantic states post in either the NENP or SENP regional forums, both of which have plenty of activity.

Bill,

Good morning. I use to post on the LINP forum, but just about never got responses. I found this to be very frustrating and ended up deleting my posts.

I would post a question, which would be read by a lot of members (obviously not all from LI) but rarely answered. The reason for this is beyond my simple mind. Long before Jim removed the forum I was posting in the NENP site, which would get responses.

But unfortunately when I am looking for advice about long Island people from New England cannot always answer. I even posted the a question on the forum about the lack of responses, which was replied to by a person in Florida, who invited me to visit him. But life goes on.

So I can not blame Jim for removing the forum.
