Some of you may not be aware of a great new Canadian photo magazine out there called Photosho. They are heavy on lots of vibrant images and light on over-advertising product. The magazine is fairly new and it would be great to see it succeed since it does offer lots of imagery from all levels of shooters. And our very own Younes Bounhar is a columnist with the magazine!

Check it out online - http://www.photosho.ca and if you like what you see, consider a donation or a subscription. And if you have some Canadian content, watch for the next call for submissions and send it in!

Heavy on vibrant images. The reason I won't be checking it out. (Not my style.) I wish them all well, and hope it is successful.

Samantha, thanks for the link - it looks like a very worthy endeavor!

Samantha,
Thanks for the information on the new Canadian magazine ..... looks good.
I also liked your articles.
Are images from "downunder" (Australia) likely to be accepted, or will the magazine foucus exclusively on Canadian/US content?
Regards,
Denis.

Jim, I think I misled you there. When I wrote 'heavy on vibrant images and light on over-advertising product', I meant that the focus was on putting in many, great images rather than selling gear. There is a great diversity of image type in the magazine. Sorry to confuse!

I was about to chime in to explain what you meant with "heavy on vibrant images"...thanks for doing it.
I can only echo what Samantha said here. The quality of the magazine is really second to none!
Dennis, unfortunately, at this point I believe only Canadian content is accepted.

Looks great Samantha,

Denis, we'll just have to travel to Canada to get those photos.

I can think of worse places to visit

Samantha, thanks for posting this. I have enjoyed the lovely articles and pictures by you, Darwin and Younes. As Younes said, the quality of the magazine is amazing - the pictures have a certain softness to them - certainly not something I would expect on magazine paper! At some point, when I finally get the time, I will also try submitting images and stories.

Cheers,
Christoph
