Black Swan portrait (C)
I spent an hour after work at the Wildfowl and Wetlands at Llanelli on Friday and whilst there was not much in the way of wild stuff that I could photograph (except a Peregrine sat on a bank about a universe away!) I was quite taken with the black swans. Very harsh light but with this subject it seemed to work reasonably well.

it has worked well, this is a very nice portrait. I like the light on the eye.

Very nice indeed especially in harsh light. A wild one of these appeared at our local reserve recently (so I'm told!)

Well that's really nice. I like the light around the bill and the eye makes the shot. It's not often that you can come away with something decent in harsh light, but you have here.
