I think we all shot this photo so I would be interested in seeing some of the other ones you guys shot.
As always I learn more about photography around the campfires than I learn from any book.

Thanks,

Limestone cliffs offer a wonderful background contrast to the colorful trees. Well composed.

Hey Rod, glad you and Sid made it home safely. Your shots look great! I really enjoyed the group this weekend.

Seeded like you guys were EVERYwhere this weekend - always getting there first! I'm sure there will be tons of great images and I know a lot of folks look forward to seeing them...

Rod it was great to see you again and a treat to have Sid spend the weekend with us! You have some very nice images in your gallery. After seeing your shots from Fire Tower Road I wish I'd have gotten on top of one of your vehicle's for a better perspective! Here's my take on the scene at Roark Bluff from Saturday morning.

OH NOOOOOOOOO I Missed Sid ! :frown: I knew I should have had my butt down there! Throw the fella a hunk of cheese for me Rod.

Great shots Rod and Wayne. Looks better than I was imagining.

Rod, here is a little different perspective from the same area.

Tom and Wayne,
Great shots. Wish I would have moved up and I wish I had moved to the left!

Brad--Sid says thanks for the cheese!

He spent most of the day laid out in the floor snoring. He was a tired puppy.

Nice work, Rod, Wayne, and Tom! Glad to know you guys had a safe trip home. That was some beautiful backlight Saturday morning - those sweet gums looked like they were almost on fire!

I got in late last night after shooting until almost dark, then had to drive home, put away all the camping gear, clothes, food, etc. I'll post one of my favorites after I've had a chance to work on it.

Rod that was my favorite set of trees and light from that morning, beautiful job I think you got more fog in your image which I really love.
I had a great time with everyone and got to shoot a great new sunrise location I had never been to.
Wayne I think yours is close to the same light as mine. Another great shot, love the fall colors.
Tom your pano is really nice also, you found some great color in that shot.
I will post some of mine later when I can work on them.

Beautiful work, everyone. Rod, I think I slightly prefer the vertical shot, only because there's more texture to the fog, and more of it, in that one. I like the bluff better in this one, though.
