Taken in the Trout Lake area at sunrise. A herd of elk wandered by, but decided not to walk into my shot. Boy I was hoping they would, but I settled on some great fall color instead.

David - I love the layering and the lighting and colors. Very nice. Too bad that elk herd wouldn't cooperate!
Nice, I like the laying as well David. Maybe a tad more saturation.

I agree about the composition and layering here......they're very nice.
I like the saturation here, but the mountain snow needs to be brighter. Overall the image is a bit dark, but pushing the highlights in the mountain up a bit would balance it out I believe. Also, bringing out the highlights in the frosted field, while maintaining the current midtones would add interest there and reinforce the layers of this composition.

Nice composition and ya bummer the elk failed to cooperate for ya. I agree this is a bit under exposed. I also agree it could use some more saturation. Just a bit of adjusting in your favorite image editor and yer there!
Good feeling of the season and of the dawn, David. Cool you got to see the elk; wouldn't it have been awesome had at least one been kind enough to wander into this scene!
