I took a trip to the coast this weekend. I haven't left Portland for the weekend for quite some time now because I've been really busy lately so this was a great little vacation. I couldn't have asked for better weather, I was able to wear a t-shirt both Saturday and Sunday and the sunsets were amazing both days. I stayed in my parent's beach house in Garibaldi which is just north of Tillamook. Here is one of the best shots so far. In a couple days once I have the time to work on the rest of the photos i'll probably post another and include a link to my flickr account with more photos from this very photographically prolific trip.

Great shot Austin. Gradient like soft color, excellent sharpness and texture.
Excellent detail from front to back. Did you get any shots with the sun inside or behind the arch? The sunsets on the coast have been great in the last week. You timed your trip just right.

Aaron, yes I did get a few with the sun inside the arch and a cool one before it got that low where a beam of light is shining through it which I captured with my telephoto. I'll be posting a link to a flickr site with more as soon as i'm done editing them all.

I am in awe of the lower half of this photo. How about posting some capture data?

Wow, that's the most compelling sea foam I've seen in a while:) I can't believe how much interest there is in the immediate FG given that it's just sea foam. But the colors in it and the shadows it's casting on the sand are very cool.
I'm unsure about the sun. It's bordering on too bright for me. But then again.....the FG is nice enough that my eye comes back there too.

I LOVE the warm light and stop action on the sea foam! Nicely seen and executed! No nits from me!!
