I have been asked by a local Wildlife Centre to provide some greetings cards featuring images taken at the reserve. A proportion of sales will go towards the Centre plus a profit for myself. Can anyone recommend a good source for cards (plus envelopes). Naturally image quality and price are the main considerations as is speed of delivery as I'm on a bit of a tight schedule. I have been checking out companies on the web but as with all things, a personal recommendation is much preferred.
If naming companies is deemed as advertising and not allowed on the forum I'd greatly appreciate an e-mail.
Many thanks

Robert.

I'm also looking for somewhere to get cards printed and have found it very difficult. In the past I simply used PhotoBox but I'm sure there must be a much better solution. If you find somewhere good would you please let me know also? Thanks Tristan

I have also used Photobox for cards, and wasn't impressed. I don't think they are of a quality that should be sold- the card is thin, and the image quality was no better than an average colour laser. This was a couple of years ago now, and I paid £1 a card, if I recall correctly.

The quality of the PhotoBox cards has improved. I think it could still be better but they are now far better than the nasty laser printer quality cards they produced until recently (I sent them back).

If you want to print yourself then check out the range of cards from Online paper

OnLine Paper Website

They do a good range of quality cards and envelopes.

For budget cards I use VistaPrint, amazingly cheap and quality is very good.

I get 100 6x4 sized postcards (colour printing front and back) for about £12.00 using the cheapest shipping options and taking advantage of their 'promotions'. Once you register with VistaPrint you get an almost daily stream of email 'offers' but if you work their system you can get high quality, low cost cards.

If you email me your address I will post you a sample of a VistaPrint 6x4 and 7x5 postcard, I have loads of them.

I have tried PhotoBox cards. Main problem is they don't allow you to fully design the card layout, and they insist on sticking 'PhotoBox' somewhere and a bar-code too. Otherwise the cards are good quality and well priced, especially for small volumes.
