Name This Falls?
This is on the Wilson River Hy about a mile west of the summit on the north side of the road. You can see a glimpse of this falls through the trees but have to cross the Wilson and scramble up a small creek to get a decent view. A year or so ago someone posted a few pics of this falls along with a link to an old story about pregnant a doe being hit by a car... if that jogs any memories.
Not much flow this time of year but reaching it may be impossible in spring when the river is raging. Thanks in advance for any info on the name of this falls!

I don't know the name of the falls Larry, but there are a couple of NW Waterfall sites on the web, which have most of the waterfalls in the NW posted. I'm sure this one is on there with the name and height.

This one is from my neck of the woods. Though I've been there several times, I've never been successful in finding out the true name of these falls. I see the leanto frame is still up there on the left. The fall colors look good.

This one doesn't have an official name. Yet. The name "Stafford Falls" has been proposed by a group led by Tom Kloster, founder of the Trail Keepers of Oregon (Oregon's version of WTA), after poet William Stafford who was said to have frequented the Wilson area often. Its listed on my site as such to try and establish the name (see http://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/nws/waterfall.php?st=&num=1779 ).

Wow beautiful color here......although not very impressive water flow. I like the exposure here and the way you've processed the mossy rock face. It's a very balanced image.
