after reading am recent post about the Dead Zone, I decided to post this photo. I donpt know if it is much of my best work, but I have recieved alot of positive response over this photo from other people.
I was gladly surprised at the amount of snow along Loveland Pass this early in the season, the lake just below the pass was completely frozen over already which was a big surprise to me this early on.
I do feel that the clouds seem just a wee bit hot. Let me know what you thinkie
Please ignore the vehicle that is visible in the other end of the lake, I forgot to clone it out

Hey Paul, love the light, and the ice is a surprise too. I sorta like the vehicle (I think) it give some scale to the landscape. The only thing I might do differently is crop some of the sky to get more of the "thirds" thought into the image.

Very nice light being reflected from the clouds onto the ice, nice to see some of thw white stuff up there ;). My only nit would be the central position of the far lake shore and peaks, perhaps trying a crop as Jeff suggested!.

Paul,
This is definitely one of if not the best I've seen you post. Good work. I'm guessing this is loveland pass.
You've got some beautiful light here for sure. A little bit of clean up work and she's a keeper. Might try some crops to see how they feel as well.
Nice capture.

as recommended I cropped some of the sky, actually a good chunk of the sky,
I also cloned out the vehicle

#2 works for me - I like the crop. Much better preservation of the detail than previous posts as well. You've got some tell-tale signs on the cloning that could use a little clean-up. Nice light, great clouds.
