Another Tree from Devil's Lake
Ok another tree from Devil’s Lake. We stopped briefly last weekend to do a little hiking late in the day. This was one of the few shots from the hike.

The central trees, with the splashes of color around it, and the bluish distant trees in the background are really nice. The bordering trees throw me a bit though, and the composition feels a bit unresolved to my eye. Perhaps others will feel differently. I like the depth that they add, but wish they weren't hovering right on the edges of the frame. Hard to say what would have worked better though without being there. Very nice scene despite my nitpicky gripes.

Kind of reminds me of a painting, Phil...nice colors and I like the blue/greens in the distant background. I understand what Joel is trying to say and I agree, but I do like it as is.
