A really great shot, and without a filter to subdue glare or enhance the visual impact. Wonderful one, Preston!

Preston,
As much as I am a fan of the saturated Velvias, I've been impressed how well Astia has rendered the golden, warm, orange and otherwise autumn colors with such - integrity, for lack of a better word.
The comp is simple and the rocks bold, but not overpowering. The color of the reflection is wonderful and this is very nicely crafted. I imagine you and Harley did have fun in this spot. I'm rather envious I wasn't there!

Preston,
Looks like you two had a great time in Bishop. I too feel like I missed out greatly. Wonderful colors in this image. It does look like molten metal.

What a great mix of colors, textures and shapes! A very well balanced and pleasing image to look at. I also really like a vertical crop, e.g. 5:4 or 3:2 from around the center. Nicely seen and captured!

Really beautiful work Preston. Love those golden tones and the just barely perceptible creek bottom

Great color and fine take on this spot. The color in the water was amazing and you captured it very well.
