I LOVE the action in this shot! Nice and crisp too! My only nit is it's REALLY tight. A bit more room all around would be helpful for sure but ya takes what ya gets!

If this were my photo, I'd be kicking myself for what could have been. An "almost" awesome shot, ( the clipped wings, especially on the bird on the left). I have a lot of shots(too many) that fall under the "almost" catagory. I stare at them a few times and think about how I should have done it differently.
On the bright side, both birds look sharp and there is some nice action going on.
I hope that's not a harsh critique, but when I opened this pic, I immediately had a reaction that I've felt too many times regarding my own avian images.

I didnt see the other one coming because i was watching the one eating the salmon start doing weird things and was focused on it and then it took off, so yeah, i look at it and think almost....:) At least i was ready with the shutterspeed, i forget that sometimes and leave it slow, but this time i jacked up the iso and was ready, well, almost. :) And another with a crow harassing him. These crows would peck at his hind feathers to try and get him away from 'their' food he took over.
