Handle with care
Not for critique but I thought some of you might be interested in this shot which shows the docile nature of Bank Voles. This one was caught as part of a small mammal survey at Rudyard Lake a couple of weeks ago and seemed quite happy to be handled. Totally different from the Wood Mice we caught; the first Wood Mice we trapped and released made a bee-line for a stream, leapt in and swam across!

I think you were lucky to find such a confiding one, although I agree with you about Wood Mice, who have always struck me as determined to be the SAS of the rodent world.
