Great White Heron
On my quest for "other types of images" this morning i went out to a wetland not so far from my home to test out my new wading suit. This GWH was willing to pose for me in early morning light.

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Now if I'd seen this had won WPOTY I'd have been well pleased   :wavey:

Wonderfully atmospheric and moody image :toast:

A really nice image Jeroen - great atmosphere, lovely light.
I'd have been tempted to place the bird a little further to the left but that is just a personal choice. Good work.

Cheers, Chris

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your comments so far!
To Des: No special filters used..just morning fog and use of Better Beamer to illuminate the bird.
PhotoShop techniques used as mentioned.

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

I think this is a stunner Jeroen. I don't know if it's me or if it could do with a tiny bit of rotation?
