To quote Jerry Greer; man this is SWEET!!! The play of light is very cool Mark. The way the bigger trunks open up towards the middle give the eye a place to go. The colors up top are the icing that makes this work. Love it.

Thanks, it didn't turn out too badly, did it?
BTW I was out in that field for all of 20 minutes and I brushed four tiny ticks off of Ozzy and three off of me.

Figures. I know that area well.
I actually think this is the best I've seen in a while from you, Mark. No idea why the lack of commentary on this one.

I'll agree, it's very good Mark. While driving down the Klickitat Gorge yesterday I was thinking I should stop and try and shoot something like this; the oak are so beautiful right now. When there is beauty all around I often find it difficult to isolate an area that conveys said beauty well; you've done a great job of it here. My only suggestion would be to desaturate the green grass, mostly in the llc, just a tad so the eye isn't drawn to it.

I really like the image, Mark. It's a good example of understated elegance in an image. The ticks would have been enough to scare me off - I hate 'em!

I worked it a little in ACR and then darkened the darks in PS.
