Another photo from my trip to the beach last weekend. You can see more from my weekend on my flickr account at http://flickr.com/photos/austinboothphoto/sets/72157608547366796.

Austin, I just looked through your whole set on flickr. Looks like you had some great weather. Your processing is very interesting on all of these. All of the images have a cool metallic quality, that I'm not quite sure is accurate color-wise, but interesting to view nonetheless.

great shot Austin. The composition works well and there's a lot to look at here. I'd be interested to see a more natural color to the sky, but I do like your processing here anyhow.

I just changed the photo. I originally edited this one a little over the top warm based on the opinion of a non-photographer who's opinion I respect but I personally believe it looks a little better and more natural without warming it as much as I did at first.

It looks pretty darn good to me throughout with the exception of that overly bright area on the dark side of the foreground rock. That would be shadow area, so the intense bright spot is a bit much for me processing-wise. Everything else fits nicely IMO. A very energetic scene.

Wow! Did everyone run through Oceanside while I was there on my honeymoon? Was this on Sunday the 26th? I remember that mackerel sky--soon after the sun went down the clouds turned the most brilliant shades of pink I've seen in a while. It was an incredible welcome for my wife and I! I think this photo is great. I really like the golden reflections everywhere. I'll have to post something from my time down there...

(Congratulations Mike!)

I'll agree about the foreground processing, otherwise very nice! Great capture.

Thanks everyone for your comments and critique, I'll work on that foreground processing a little more.

P.S. Congratulations Mike, I wish the best to you and your wife. it sure was a nice weekend over there wasn't it?
