Another shot from my recent trip to Africa. This eagle was sat up in the top of a dead tree overlooking a water trough. The light was pretty harsh by that time of the morning and it just wouldn't oblige and look the other way so the only decent shots I've got are with it looking out of the frame!
Am not sure about the species though - it could be an immature Verreaux's - any ideas?

Verreaux's was my first thought on seeing it, but according to the illustration in Zimmerman et al. (Birds of Kenya) the feathers on the legs should be white with dark spots, and there should be a lot of rufous-buff on the upperparts (not very visible in this shot). I suppose it could be part way between juvenile and adult plumage, and I cannot think what else it may be.
