Canon XTI, 17-40L B+W CPL, 2 image merged (first try at this), shot near North Lake. not the greatest but reminds me how peaceful it was.
Thanks for looking

I wouldn't have recognized this as North Lake so congrats on that. The composition could use a little work though. Other than the color there is nothing that really captivates my attention.

Can't even tell it 2 images blended so good job on that. Like the mysterious background peaks too. Can't really tell what you're trying to convey here but I do get some sort of peaceful emptyness feeling from this.

Danny,
I think this is a pretty Eastern Sierra image and I certainly can't tell this is a blended image. I'm assuming it was a blend for the sky - and you processed this very well. This sure looks like the conditions we had at the beginning of October with the cold front hanging over the crest of the Sierra.
Compositionally, I'm guessing that it was the clouds over the peak that was your main interest. But in the process, I think the aspens on the left and the mountain onthe right seem cut off leaving the viewer with little or no focal point - if that makes any sense.
This has the nice feeling of an autumn day in the eastern Sierra. I like the different shades of brown, works well.

I got to start trying this stitching thing... you guys make it look so good and easy. Colors and exposure look good to me. It's amazing how different this area looks in just the two months since I was up there. I might favor a half inch or so cropped off the bottom, but other than that this works for me. Nice work!

Danny,
Nicely exposed and blended. It looks just like it should on a bright sunny day in the E.Sierras in fall.

Still, nicely exposed and processed.
