Man, do those awesome clouds just hover above, and follow you wherever you go? What gives?
A few questions....
On "waiting for the sun"- was that a planned shot, or was it made spontaneously? It's a very creative shot executed to perfection.
On " the black" what are your thoughts on the leaving star trail? That would be one of my favs, but that star really steals some attention from the lower half, IMO.
A top-notch collection overall. You had quite a productive trip.

Stunning as always. "The Battle Lost" is my personal favorite. I have noticed a very appealing "etheral softness" to your more recent work Marc. It has added an incredible signature look to your images.

There certainly does seem to be a change happening in your work, I like it. It is interesting to wonder about the origins of such changes in ones work.
I'm also quite curious about your new web site. I am hoping to upgrade my site soon, and am contemplating patronizing the people you worked with.

Wow, man. Epic. Not only is that shot of Emperor Falls one of the most creative I've seen of any waterfall, its by far the most different shot of Emperor Falls I've seen and I'm sure it was a lesson in futility to get that close to the cliff if it was that coated in ice. Not a place I'd want to fall. One of the best shots of Athabasca Falls I've seen too - easily the lowest flow I've ever seen in a picture of it.
By far my favorites are the two shots of Robson - "Mountain Kingdom" being the better of the two (the lakes are just a tad over-saturated to my eye, being that they're in the shade, but I know they are that vibrant) and "Icelands" may be my favorite shot of yours all year. I've been to the Icefields twice and though I haven't taken a whole lot of time to explore the photographic potential, I had no idea it could look that good. I am pretty sure that shot along pushed me over the line and now I will for sure be making another trip up there next year. Simply awesome Marc.

Thanks for posting a gallery, it's a great collection that tells quite a story of a beautiful part of the continent. I really feel like I experience the seasonal transition and connect with the landscape through these trip galleries...
Favorites:
Sunrise Magic: Great colors, points of interest and even foreground surrounding the subject!
Thousand Words: Great layers, light, depth and subtle colors. Could stare all day...
But the one that strikes me the most...
Time Stands Still: One of the most peaceful shots of yours, and it feels like you are there...
Fantastic all around, and thanks for putting this together...

Thanks for the link Marc! I really enjoyed an initial look through. I'll have to visit many more times to really absorb it all. Even the most skilled photographer can't take great nature shots in a living room, so it's a true pleasure when someone of your skill makes the effort to get to these locations.
Unfortunately I'm not staying out there...stuck here in sunny southern california. But now that I'm out of high school im planning on traveling around a bit to work on my portfolio so I'll try to make it out to Bend soon because my mom lives there. Maybe once there's a bit more snow.

Wow, what a collection! I have too many favorites, and they change daily. Just an incredible body of work from this trip. I'll be enjoying these for a long while. If you're serious about getting out and doing some snow camping, I know both Adrian and I would be up for it.
Gorgeous work my friend!

I'd like to take you guys out somewhere this winter, even if it's not a photo-first type of trip. Weather windows are small though, so schedule flexability is important. We'll just have to see what works out.

Great series... no way to nail down just one fav. Not all of them spin the WOW sign but that's just me. They are all awesome, and 100% signature Adamus. "Sunset Point" has a bit of a soft halo around the Right tree if you have a chance to re-evaluate it. Well done

A really great collection of photos Mark, I love them all. I just have no idea how you get the exposure so perfectly uniform throughout the image and the colors so pleasing. I can tell its not HDR, which I'm not a big fan of because it doesn't usually look very real. Do you just bracket multiple exposures and then spend hours in photoshop with layers and masks to get every part perfectly exposed? Or do you have some tricks up your sleeve that just get everything nearly perfect in the field so you just have to make a few minor adjustments afterword?
