Just thought I'd post the view from the wonderful granary image from John M's "Snug" post. The fall colors at this particular location within Canyon De Chelly are definitely on the downward slide so we'll have to try again next year. Still it was a great place to crash for a couple of hours and take in the scenery.

Here's another shot with John in the window to give the scene a little scale.

Beautiful place. Thanks for posting the scale image. My perception was completely off until I saw I saw John.

Great scene Guy. You've got the white balance set too high for my tastes on the first shot. I'd like to see a bit more blue in the shadows like in the second shot.

Great shot!! I love that line of trees going back into the canyon. Maybe next fall for the peak colors, but these are still really nice shots in my book.
I've never been here so the shot w/ John in it definetly helps with the sense of scale!
Killer view, and I had no idea it was that big until looking at the 2nd shot. Awesome!

Beautiful. Looks like you spent quite a while there since the light is so different-looking in these shots. I'm sure it was time very, very well spent.

Guy, These are really great. Different light makes them look so different. I have to say I prefer the second with the more golden light and John in it to give it that huge scale reference.

Wow, they're both great in their own way. The scale is incredibly deceptive. Looks like you could fit John in your camera bag.
