I am getting more fond of the environmental type of image as they make an occasional change from close up and personal portraits. I was driving to an appointment for work when I spotted a fox walking alongside a small pool at the side of a railway embankment. Unfortunately I didn't have time to stop. About two hours later I drove past the spot again and decided to pull over and take a look. Unbelievably, the fox had decided to curl up and go to sleep on the side of the embankment. I stayed there for an hour and a half and most of the images were of reeds / cover with a bit of fox but every now and then he would get up and turn around until he was comfortable and giving me a slightly different view. The second image shows him having a good look at me before going back to sleep.

Hello Jeremy, I was wondering who would be the first to mention the post. I took many images that day and tried all types of format. On that particular image I cropped it deliberately to include the concrete fence-post in an attempt to show that the fox was on the railway embankment. It would have been nice to have pulled back and waited for a train to pass but then the fox would probably have been too small to identify properly. Thanks for comments.

Very nice... often see Foxes from the train on my way to work, the London urbans use the tracks for paths and had ideas for a shot if I could have gotten permission.
Second one for me too, can understand trying to show that it is a railway embankment but that I think would be very difficult.
