Monument Rocks sunset
This was from a couple weekends ago. I was surprised by the sun star effect. This is a 4 exposure blend. C&C always welcome and appreciated, thanks for looking.

Nice shot Rob. I like the detail in the rock, yet it doesn't overwhelm the sky. I have a couple of sunrise shots that are similiar - except with trees and not rocks (maybe not so similiar after all). However they are raw and on my cf card and I can't get to them. I posted an explaination in my earlier thread.

Rob, I am continued to be amazed at the great stuff you are shooting in Kansas. This makes me want to make a trip to this area.

Rob one of your best of this area! and you shoot this area alot. Love the sky and sun peaking through, great job on the blending also.

Great shot, Rob. The clouds caught some nice light and I really like the starburst. Nice composition and you still have a lot of detail in the rock.

I like this much better than than your last post - it just seemed a little too extraterrestrial for my tastes. This shot I think is one of your best from this location. Great composition and perfect blending work. And the starburst is icing on the cake. Stunning image Rob! :toast:

This is a really interesting image compositionally Rob. Great job with the blending of 4 images to get the detail and exposure range needed in this tough shooting situation. This image is a perfect example of when the lack of clouds worked to your benefit. Great work! :toast:

What a great shot. Excellent post processing work. It does have just the right detail where it needs it. Excellent work!

Very strong graphically with simple and bold compositional elements, and yet with fine detail as well.

Thanks everybody. This ranks as one of my favorite daylight photos I've taken out there.
