As per our discussion here, we have now launched a new Anonymous Gallery. A link to the new gallery can be found in the Galleries header menu.
To post in the new gallery:
1. Visit the gallery that the photo would normally be posted in
2. On the Post A Photo screen, check the anonymous post box and the photo will only appear in the anonymous gallery. The post will not include your name, avatar, signature or any icons.
If at a later time you wish to remove the post from the anonymous gallery, simply use the edit link next to the thumbnail and uncheck the box. The photo will be moved from the anonymous gallery to the gallery it would have normally appeared in, complete with your avatar, signature, etc.
If you have any questions or encounter any difficulty, please let me know!
Is there any way to show the anonymous photos when you click on the "all photos" link? Right now the only way to access the anonymous gallery is to click on its own link. When I log into NPN, I almost always choose "all photos" and browse around across all spectrums, rather than going into each gallery separately. Does this make any sense?

Let me check with David to see if we can do that. I suspect it may be problematic because the new gallery strips out the member identifiers but the other galleries do not. However, once the "anonymous" box is deslected, it will appear in All Photos and in the gallery it was orignally designated for.
BTW, we will have the About This Gallery page and moderators listed tomorrow. Thanks again to all for suggesting the new gallery and helping to support it!

Would the images posted in the new gallery be eligible for the Weekly Picks?
I am just curious because I don't recall this being brought up in the initial discussion.

Hi Jim,
I notice the new anonymous gallery is not available from the old "Select Forum" drop down box. It's not a big deal since it's available from the new gallery menu but I still use that drop down box all the time. Old habits...

Preston, if the OP deselects the anonymous box (using the edit link), the photo is moved to the normal IC gallery and becomes eligible.
