I drove into this scene on Shady Lake road Wednesday.

From top to bottom Beautiful John. The yellows and reds with the small amount of green left is really nice.

Sweet colors and good placement of the cluster of orange leaves. I like the variation provided by the leaning trees, too.

Is this pretty representative of the color in the areas you saw in the Ouachitas?

The beeches and maples down in the valleys were just perfect. Some hillsides were nice, and others were already past peak.

Better hurry!

I say every year I'll make it down to the Ouachitas for fall...and once again, I didn't make it. DEFINITELY next year, if I can get color like this. Nice comp and beautiful colors.

I always enjoy scenes like this and this one is no exception. I like the silhouetted tree trunks set against the wonderful fall colors. Well seen and composed John.

I found that I could adjust the tone curve to brighten up the leaves without sacrificing saturation.

I agree that the repost is a nice improvement.
