Hi all
Danny's post got me hare nostalgic so I've reprocessed a summer hare shot I was never happy with - an unrecognisable out-of-focus tractor in the background spoiled the original shot - so I've given it an attack of the clones.
The opertunity arose for this shot when I was given a tip-off by a local farmer that hares were eating his barley crop every evening. Armed with this knowledge I positioned myself in the ditch bordering the field with some scrim netting over the top of me and sure enough, after half-an-hour, in came six hares. Fantastic stuff! Took about two-hundred shots of what is basically the same picture - a hare stuffing his chops
Hope you like it and can't spot the photoshopping!
Absolutely superb Simon. I love that bold eye with catchlight, the viewpoint and the fact that it is eating. Hares are fantastic animals and so photogenic. I wish we had some down here.

Just stunning, really very envious of both this shot and that recently posted by Danny. You have both given me inspiration to get out and watch my local hares for a while and see where I can set up to photograph them. What is your stalking technique..? This image really gets the character of a hare with fine detail.

Very nice shot indeed and quite amusing! Looks like you've done a good job with the cloning.

wonderful pose and expression. Love the sharpness especially the whiskers. Can't see the tractor either....
