I made this one in Utah last week. I am looking for some feedback on how the image works for you, especially the idea of the shadow flowing through it. Any suggestions or critiques on that or any aspect of the image are most welcome.
Wonderful color with strond lines and texture. The shadow running through the whole image accentuates the flow of the other lines in the rock, but it is fooling my eye into thinking there is something in it for me to see. It takes all the attention. The dark shadow URC also steals some attention as well.
An excellent idea and capture, Harley. I really like this as you have seen and captured this. It is unique and presents an interesting perspective on a very basic shadow corridor. The URHC small shadow is an item, but does not spoil this wonderful shot and would not be noticed by most non photogs IMO.
Harley,
I like the main drainage line, which lead the eye into the composition. The shadows add an interesting drama to the image. Well done. Regards.

Harley,
Even with the strong lighting, the colors are warm and wonderful. I like the shadow running thru the scene as it accentuates the geology here where the lines change. And what makes the shadow work for me is that we can see detail in there - if it were all black I think it would divide the image too strongly; as it is, I like it.

I imagine the trannie is quite nice.
