I have a lot of photos that I am particularly proud of and I have been trying to make this in some way financially beneficial but it has proven difficult.....how does one go about making money off of photography? I have good photos of very rare animals in the wild.

Hi Brandon,
The best starting point is John Shaw's excellent book "The Business of Nature Photography." It's a great resource for someone interested in selling their images editorially.
As for print sales, maybe someone else will be of more help...
Cheers,
Neil

You can try "Dreamstime" for stock photography sales. They pay the best from my experience.
Enter as many contests as you can find..Also, post your images to as many public sites as you have time for, the exposure on the net helps. Get magazine scripts to as many nature related magazines as you can afford. Most accept images, especially if you can submit your image with a written article.
Good Luck
