Hey folks,

Below is a link to an image gallery I made this morning of some images I took yesterday at Dennison International - Motorsports Division:

Schumacher's 1997 F-1 car

The local chapter of the BMW club was graciously invited yesterday to tour one of the world's best auto-restoration companies! Dennison has won the Grand Prize at the Pebble Beach Concourse de Elegance!

The car in the image gallery was Michael Schumacher's title winning 1997 Ferrari. Said awesome ride was recently driven then shunted on its right side into a barrier wall seriously damaging the right rear corner. Dennison has been tasked to remedy this oh sooooooooo painful OOPS!

Being allowed to be this up close and personal with an honest to goodness REAL F-1 car of recent vintage was truly an unforgettable event for this hopeless car nut and addicted F-1 fan!!

I didn't bring a flash head and that proved to be painful. All of the images were shot at ISO 2000 and with a very wide open aperture at 1/100 sec. If I had to do it over again I would MOST ASSUREDLY bring the dang flash head and a diffuser - dang it dang it dang it! Like I KNOW better ya think?!

So please forgive my departure from our normal image fare on the forum but I figured more than a few fellow fotogs and car nuts would enjoy these images! I'll post another gallery later that has many more cars in it in various stages of restoration!

Automotive photography is what got me into photography in the first place. I miss my scca days :(

I'm so jealous though! I've never had the opportunity to get up close and personal with an f1 car.

Sweet Dude! Great shots! I'm Drooling! How about showin' us some of those other cars I see in the background.
Here's my work in progress. Can't wait to get this back on the road. Gonna take a couple of years though.

Eric that's going to be one nice ride when you complete it!
