1D2n, 600mm f4 is x1.4tc, 1/640s, f8, iso 500. Early sun, blowing a gale as usual.
One from this morning. Half a dozen or so landed withing good range and foraged frantically non stop for a while, until their peace was shattered by the loud call of another bird I didn't see. I can't recognise calls yet! They froze for a few seconds before carrying on. I have some with an isolated bird, but I liked the OOF bird in the background too.
A very nice image with the curlew in the background being an added bonus.
Looks perhaps a little on the bright side, particularly the bird in the foreground.

I like the second bird in shot Ian. Looks a bit too contrasty but very nice composition.

Thanks guys. Yes, I did, use Curves and sometimes it's best to do nothing! Hope this is better.

Hi Ian
Nice Curlew shot. The one in the back seems to grab my attention somehow.
I know what ======= these jobs can be though !

Much prefer the second image Ian - nice shot and a good sense of place.

Very nice, especially the re-post - minor nit a bit tight at the bottom of the frame for it's virtual legs!
