Fallow Deer Buck
40D, 300/4, Tripod + BH1.
ISO640, 1/320 @ f5.6.
Lightroom + resize & sharpen CS3.

Hi,

From a roam through some local woods on a tip off of a herd of Fallow Deer, Too late for the rut but some nice looking Bucks, this one allowed a relatively close approach, will follow this herd through the year & hopefully be ready for next years rut...

Cropped to 10 x 8 full height.

Antlers a tad tight to the top edge :biggrin: :biggrin:

I always have problems comping a shot with these guys somehow (purely a mental thing on my part) so nice image Phil :wavey:

Nice one Phil. I especially like the blend of colours. Reminded me that I ought to get the 300/f4 out more often.

Lovely picture with very nice autumn colours :smile: I agree with Robert however, that it's a bit tight at the top.

Nits covered... a gorgeous image in a lovely light, with good eye contact with the 'over the shoulder' pose. Very nice indeed.

Tightness has been mentioned but no big deal for me, love the pose. Only thing - it looks to have a slight red cast here, but prob just my monitor :smile:
