I have been commenting about being out this fall but haven't post many. I tried to get to some new areas for me this season. Here is one from Shady Lake.

Very nice collection of colors and shapes, Gale - glad to see you posting a few.

Nice collection of color. I like the way you included the reeds and lily pads to anchor the composition. Really good light for this kind of image as well. Was this before sunrise or is this lake shaded (obviously from the name it sounds like it.)?

This weekend I skipped the lake thinking the Little Missouri Falls would be nice but everything was already done at the falls.

Thanks Ed and Tim. Ed it was shot pre-dawn.

Wow, that's beautiful Gale. You gotta love those pre-dawn conditions - light, calm winds, and solitude, and beautiful fall color to boot. The reeds and lily pads really make this shot I think - great image!

Very neat image Gale. It's different in a good way. And I'm amazed at how much detail you've managed to keep while reducing for web presentation.

Gale, I really like the variations in your pano. How many exposures did you stitch on this one?
