Rene and I tried to pick deadlines for the submissions that would cover all fall colors for the territory but if we missed the mark for the folks in NM and AZ we would like to know.
I am looking for your opinions. Should we extend the deadline for the photo entrys?

I was just down there and there wasn't much color left anywhere due to strong winds and freezing temps during the last week. I think the current date is fine.

There's no color left here in NM (and there hasn't been for a couple weeks now). I wouldn't extend the deadline.

...in addition it seems like in years past many folks will wait until the final few days to post. Doubt if this will change regardless of the deadline.

My last post on NPN was made Saturday afternoon. There's color left, still even some green maples. But you Rocky Mountain fascists go right ahead and think it's all about you

PS. For some reason I thought the deadline was yesterday. By the 17th, there probably won't be anything left.

Please dont extend the deadline, it was hard enough for me to pick three and with some more photos still to be processed, it will be even harder next week

Since you seem to be our token representative from Southern AZ, do you think Monday, Nov 17 is a fair deadline or should we extend it a few days to Friday, Nov 21?

Hey Renee, I'd say the 17th is fair enough. Like I said, color is usually a little past prime by now, but with how warm it's been this year, some trees are turned and some aren't. Nonetheless, anyone shooting digital should be able to have their stuff done and in by the 17th. I'm doing both right now, so I don't feel limited. I don't know anyone else that contributes that does film and lives down here.
We've just had another cold couple of days, so hopefully that'll turn the rest of the trees and there'll be more photo ops.
