I just worked a security shift for a photo shoot at Fisher Towers. Ironically, they were filming a promotional video of Tyler Stableford using the new 5D MKII that will end up on the Canon Digital Learning Center website. I got to see some of the photos/video he shot and the Canon exec. who was on-site was gracious enough to answer about a bazillion questions for me. They even let me play around with one of several MKII's they had laying around. Suffice it to say that it's quite the impressive piece of equipment and I'm now even more anxious to receive mine! The damn thing can't arrive soon enough...

I suspected you were positioning yourself in a great spot out there .... a security shift that ended up with the hottest camera going these days!?? Excellent job!!

I'm counting the days, too, looks like the ship date is floating a bit.

Now that's a neat gig you pulled there! That cam can't come soon enough for me either. Just hope there's no QC "gotchas" to deal with. I'm always nervous being an early adopter of Canon equipment.

I hear that, Guy. The practical side of me knows I should wait a couple months before picking it up, but the child side of me says "I want it NOW!" I tried in vain to get them to give me one to "test" but they politely refused my requests.

And this coming from a guy who was most likely carrying a gun!

And a Taser, which people are oddly even more afraid of! Neither had any effect, though.
