Hi Jeroen,

Lovely nocturnal feel to this and a great subject matter. A very well executed image IMO.

Love those eyes and light control, only nit to my eyes is the out of focus branch/thing at the bottom of the frame, which I find a little intrusive. Although we all know how difficult it can be to get a clean shot of one of these guys - kudos for pulling it off so well.

This is lovely and reminds me of a few great days in the Spring. I have very little experience of flash in the dark, but I too wonder if you could give it a little boost? I'm particularly interested in the eyes, which look great. Whenever I used flash on these, the eyes just blew. My flash is in line with the lens axis, and I can't change that. I found it difficult to correct in PS. If you did use eye correction, you made an excellent job of it.

Hi Jeroen,

Another great shot. I noticed you used flash. I was always told that using flash with owls is bad for his/hers eyes. How do you manage that?

Very nice, I really like the 'peering through branches' look. Beautiful subject! The flash is very well controlled. Excellent shot! :toast:

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your comments!
I used the flash indirectly and reflected it on a small peace of sliver foil in order not to flash into the OWls ayes as i too know that's no good for them...

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel
