Novoflex adapter

Thinking of purchasing the Novoflex adapter so I can use my nikon lenses on a Canon body, will this hurt image quality, focus speed etc....

I use the cheap fotodiox adapters for M42(pentax screwmount) to EOS and the work fine and cost about $10 each. So far all of my lenses have had the correct registration distance for infinity focus. IMO, Novoflex is crazy with their price, but I would expect that it works very well. But I would guess you could buy about 50 fotodiox F-EOS mount adapters for the price of one Novoflex.
