More Sand Dunes
I've been trying some B&W conversions and really liked how this shot came out. What do you think? The people in the foreground provide a sense of scale.

This is a beauty!

The clouds really jump out! Did you take this near the parking lot or am I thinking of a different angle?

Scott, it would have been by the parking lot and out a ways...

I like the clouds, but to be honest the light is a little flat on the dunes for a B&W conversion. And while the people add scale, its a false sense of scae; because of the foreshortening, i would estimate the dunes at 70 feet high intead of the real 700 feet! It's a nice shot, but you asked what i think

Hi Stan,

Yeah, the dunes themselves could definitely use some help - more contrast, maybe? I'd appreciate some help from any of you experts on Photoshop. Maybe like Stan suggests - shoot this later in the day...

The dunes kinda get lost here (not really a big deal), but those clouds are pretty awesome - especially with the context of the people. Pretty powerful image.

The clouds and sky are amazing, but I have to agree the dunes look smaller than they are even with the people in the shot and adding some contrast to them would be a good thing.

I agree with several people here - the clouds and perception are pretty sweet, but I struggle to make out where the dunes are in relation to the horizon in some areas.

Love the BW and the clouds really add to the image.
