Right along Hwy 410 on the way to Chinook Pass, I'll be looking for it again during Spring run-off.
Hey, John W., this one is for you. I'm thinking of your gorgeous "tight scene" from Trout Lake and why I said it tickled me. This is my take on "tight" and I often go in even more than this. Photography is SO cool, isn't it!

Catherine: The comp flows nicely. Appears a bit soft to me, but perhaps that was your intent.
Thanks for catching the softness. Here's one with more sharpening that I hope looks better. However, it took a mighty amount of compression to get under 200k...

A lovely little spot of greens and yellows. The newer version is just a little too sharp, something in the middle should be just right .

Catherine - this is a very sweet little spot. I'm glad you didn't pass it by and posted an image of the scene.
The sharpened post looks a little too sharp even on my crt (and if it's sharp on this crt that means it's crisp on an lcd).

Some sort of stronger leading line (like the small creek) would really be beneficial here. I love the details, but my eye seems a little too drawn to the central log and shadows underneath. It's definitely one worth keeping around though. It has a very subtle beauty about it.
