I just read on FM about the LA fire and that Jeffrey Sipress has been on evacuation alert.

Jeffrey - I hope you are safe and now out of harms way. And if anyone else is near I hope you are safe as well.

Me too, Lon. I hope all are in safe areas at this point in time. As it turns out, we now have a new fire that has started up and is called the Corona Fire here in So Cal not too far from us. Although I see no danger for us at this point in time, I did see some very large expensive homes sadly on fire in this latest fire. :frown:

Thanks guys, for your concern. The fire was heading away from my neighborhood, and we are safe, but too many lost everything. Even though we have major fires regularly, the potential loss is very scary. We get less rain every year, and ain't had any for a very long time. I'm afraid to sneeze!

Jeffrey and Paul,

Glad to hear you're OK. Keep us updated, if you can.

Be safe!

So far so good for us here in Corona. The fire started this morning and headed west with the prevailing winds. We have had some of our So Cal style Santa Ana winds the past few days and those are always deadly for us down here. The fire moved west from us into the areas known as Anaheim Hills and Yorba Linda. As I saw the fire on TV along the Santa Ana river it brought to mind that Funny Car racer John Force had his shop down there for many years that I can recall right along the river bottom. As luck would have it his team I think would have most of their gear out at the Pomona track for the World Finals this weekend
