Still getting images through the soup (as Todd would say). I think I have enough chemicals for another batch before heading back on the road. This one is a capture from the Columbia River Gorge a few weeks ago. Anyone know what kind of tree the gigantic leaves are from?

Beautiful medley of foliage, Richie. Great tonality as well. The leaf is from a Big Leaf Maple. I had never seen one until we moved out here.

Sure looks like a maple leaf...sweet shot, Ritch! If you have any more, youve got 6 hours left to post in the Weekly Challenge

Very good comp and shot, I will second the Big Leaf Maple ID.

I'm really enjoying this Rich. Beautiful tonality and so much detail for the eye to explore.

I love the composition and the black and white but the main leaf seems a tad too white to me.
Phil - Here is the color version (This is a completely different picture and this B/W is NOT a conversion from this shot). Since I have good detail in the main leaf (ie: see the veins etc and nothing blown) I think the contrast is right.

Fixer, yes, but stop bath? No thanks! Of the two different kinds of youthful experiences I had with acid, stop bath was my least favorite.
Both are stunning images, Rich. I just love the tonal range you're able to get from your negatives, and then to repeat it in an online posting. The aesthetics of the shots are extraordinary as well.

Looks like a good use of your OR trip, Ritchie! Great tonal range in the B&W!

Both images are very strong RichieV. The moisture really adds some pop to the B/W, and the layers of color in the other version are great.
