Hi All,

Does anybody know the state of play at Salthouse? When I was up there a couple of months ago the shingle banks had been breached and there were no plans to reinstate them.

Just wondering if the pools by the car park were there and what birds may be about?, as I am up that way at the end of November for a few days and can find little on line as to what state it is in

TIA

Regards

Rob

Rob nothing has changed at Salthouse regarding shingle bank. The car park is a bit of a mess and usualy you finish up parking down the entrance road as it is well used perticularly at weekends. Pools are still there but do change dependant on rainfall and tide state. Now only seem productive for Turnstone & Redshank. Snow Bunting are on the increase as of now but seem extremely flighty. I spent from 10.30 till 3.30 yesterday and had two chances on these. There are so many weekend walkers including dogs many not on leads and the usual dumbo birder(please note there not all like that) who insist on standing directly behind you against the skyline. Only other thing of note was a small party of Twite that were even more flighty.
